Ako Terms 2 & 3, 2021

GEIS has their Ako programme operating during Terms 2 and 3 every Wednesday afternoon. Our Ako programme gives students an opportunity to learn something outside of their normal classroom programme. In Block 3 students have the opportunity to learn  a second language or NZ history. Some of these languages include, Te Reo, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Coding, Pacific Languages, Korean and more. 

In Block 4 students have the opportunity to learn something they have an interest in that can fit in the normal classroom programme. Some of these classes include Media studies, Basketball, Epro8,  Entrepreneurship, different forms of visual Art, Crafts, Chess, Coding, Football, Travel, Mythology and many more. Our SPEC classes also offer our students an extra opportunity on a Wednesday to participate in their classes. 

The students look forward to Ako every Wednesday.
