At times students are purchasing energy drinks and fizzy drinks at our local dairy and bringing them to school, which is against our ‘Water Only’ rule.

These energy and fizzy drinks have large amounts of caffeine and sugar, which affects students' ability to concentrate on their learning.

We are finding that most of the time parents/caregivers are giving money to their children in good faith to buy lunch at the school tuckshop, however some children are then purchasing these drinks at the local dairy. 

Our school tuckshop has set up an online ordering system that enables you to ensure that your child receives a healthy lunch. 

This online system can be found on our school website at www.geis.school.nz/information/tuck-shop and is a good way to order your child's lunch.
