GEIS Sports Prizegiving

Vaimoana Vaai —

Another year is over for the GEIS Gladiators and what a successful one it has been.

It is often said that "It takes a village to raise a child" and this year has highlighted to me the strength in collaboration.  There have been many highlights in a very busy year. The ones that stand out have all involved a high level of cooperation between a large number of people in order to reach the success that has been achieved.

Our sports programme at GEIS is a reflection of our amazing village:

* Teachers who continue to give up their time to provide our students with sporting opportunities in netball and zone day sports

* Our parents who volunteer their time to coach and manage our weekly water polo and basketball competitions

* Our coaches and parents who assist at the week long competitions, Sports Camps, NZAIMS and the weeks leading up to it with trainings, meetings and so much more.

At GEIS we continue to maintain a reputation in sporting codes that is one of the best in intermediate schools sport in Auckland.

Our school values and our hard work is reflected in our teams and individual sports.

**Attached is our 2019 Sports Prizegiving Awards.

Congratulations to all our recipients of  these awards
