Principal's Message

Maree Stavert —

Making the best of our amazing summer.

Those of you who follow our school Facebook page would have seen a number of photos this week of students during their lunch break enjoying our continued run of picture perfect weather.    At break times GEIS students are not allowed to have access to any devices and are encouraged to make the most of the wonderful facilities we have available.    Students who like to be active can enjoy the swimming pool, sports practices, tree climbing, inter-class sport competitions, building huts in the Bird Walk or using the playground equipment.  Others who prefer a quieter space can spend time in the library, the games room or at chess club.  There is certainly something on offer for everyone and it is always great to see the smiles of kids having fun.

The weeks seem to be flying by and we are now at the half way point of the term.  It was wonderful to meet so many parents and whanau at our Meet the Teacher evening in Week 3 and we look forward to providing many more opportunities for whanau involvement throughout the year.  We are committed to working in partnership with you and always value your feedback.

Ngā mihi
