Tech23 Tomorrow Expo

Nathan Dowding —

Tech23 Tomorrow Expo was, for a class-size number of GEIS students, the opportunity to learn, interact, and participate in a range of technology exhibits which was hosted at the Viaduct Events Centre in the Auckland CBD.

With the stunning water as a backdrop, along with a brilliant day of sunshine, GEIS students were greeted with the potential careers, entrepreneurship avenues, and innovative opportunities that they could be heading into in the not-to-distant future. Despite being the youngest students there, they showed confidence equipped with a high level of quality questions when moving from exhibits about virtual reality, to robotics, and hologram filming. It was a successful day that many of our students would not typically get the chance to participate in as it was primarily targeted at older students. They should, therefore, be proud of the way that they managed themselves whilst interacting with high school students, university students, and the venue hosts. Thank you to Jude Hancock (DP) and Jazmine Iti for organising the trip.
