Mr Red Light
The last show in the 2019 Secondary Schools theatre line-up. Recommended for Years 11-13 students.
Nightsong, the award-winning creators of Spirit House, Te Pō and 360 will premiere their new work Mr Red Light this month at Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre.
Mr Red Light is a man who attracts bad luck. So naturally, when he tries to rob a bank he fails miserably and ends up in a pie shop dealing with three very uncooperative hostages and the world’s worst police negotiator... Wild slapstick collides with the meaning of life in this brand new play featuring a stellar cast and joyously inventive theatrics.
That’s great theatre, right there. When the impossible works, right in front of you, and it clambers right into your heart’ - Metro (review of Te Pō).
