As a parent, are you concerned about any of the following issues? Screen Time? Inappropriate Online Content? Gaming Addiction? Sleep? Cyber Bullying? Social Media?

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

As a parent, are you concerned about any of the following issues?

Screen Time?
Inappropriate Online Content?
Gaming Addiction?
Sleep?
Cyber Bullying?
Social Media?

Technology is finally catching up with the open internet access and research is showing us that without age appropriate filtering, our young people are at risk. At GEIS we have decided to tackle these issues together with you, and our goal is to protect every student from online harm while still allowing them to take advantage of the incredible possibilities the internet has opened up.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Family Zone, New Zealand’s leading provider of cyber safety and digital-awareness tools and services.

We need your participation. Through the School's partnership with Family Zone, parents are able to purchase a Family Pack at a special discounted education price of $59.00 incl. GST year (normally $72.00 per year).

This licence allows you as a parent to control the safety, apps and internet use of your child when they are mobile (3G & 4G) or on any home wifi network (including at a friends house). Your children will then be safe when accessing the internet, on any device and any network.

This licence allows you to control up to 6 devices for your family including your children’s mobile phones. It lasts for 12 months, and can be used even if your child is moving on to college or has not yet started at GEIS.

We will be holding a two Parent Information Evenings at 7PM in the school Auditorium on Wed 6th March and Thurs 21st March, however there is nothing stopping you from starting right away. You can sign up and start making the internet safer for your child when not at school today by visiting https://www.familyzone.com/geis-school-nz

Thank you for considering this and helping us to keep your children safe online 24/7.
