ANBOK: Becoming a Prince and Princess of Korea

GEIS students who are participating in Korean Language class had a fun time learning ‘HANBOK’ the traditional Korean costume and trying the costume on.

The term ‘ HANBOK’ literally means Korean clothing. The beauty of ‘HANBOK’ is found in the elegant flow of its lines and its unique color combinations. The features of ‘HANBOK’ reflected social status and propriety. The costume has undergone various changes throughout its more than 2,000-year history, it continues to evolve today. It was wonderful to see ‘HANBOK’ suits the GEIS students well.

Our Korean Langauge and Culture class is part of our Ako programme that happens every Wednesday afternoon.

A BIG thank you to our Korean Teacher Eunhi Ko who teachers our students Korean!
