Tensions rose as we sat quietly in the white van, all awaiting the excitement that would soon unfold.

While exiting the car, we gazed up at the huge, white, impressive building looming above us—St Cuthbert's College! The Kids Lit Quiz Squad was both buzzing and shivering with a mix of the suspense and the cold, as we took seats at our assigned tables; pencils at the ready. Hushed tones murmuring answers; hands dancing along the paper, scribbling book titles; squeals of delight at the sound of answers being marked correct.

The day was filled with laughter, competitiveness, and joy. We had an absolute blast. We utterly adored being surrounded by hundreds of book-enthusiasts, and the atmosphere was so welcoming and comforting, we felt right at home. No matter what our results were, we learnt so much in just a few hours, the experience only strengthened and built upon our love for reading.
