The emphasis at our swimming sports day is PARTICIPATION!! Every child swims in their own ability grade.

Every child is EXPECTED to participate. If they are unable to participate due to religious reasons or illness, they are expected to bring a note to school. Please note that for our swimming sports and swimming sessions during PE, we would like all the girls to wear either a tankini or a one piece swim suit

Students are not permitted to wear their PE gear shorts for swimming sessions.  If your child does not participate in the PE sessions, teachers are unable to grade/assess them.

Over the next 5 weeks during PE every student will be graded on their ability in 3 swimming strokes:

Freestyle, Breastroke and Backstroke.

Grade A = able to swim 2 lengths confidently

Grade B = able to swim 1 length confidently

Grade C = able to participate and give it a go

Competition Days: (Held at GEIS Swimming Pool)

Year 8s: Monday 9th March (9.30am-2.30pm)

Year 7s: Wednesday 11th March (9.30am-2.30pm)

Students can dress up in their mini school colours for the duration of the swimming sports event

Students are awarded 10 points for every race they enter. 

 They gain bonus points if they place 1st = 3pts 2nd = 2pts 3rd = 1pt.
