GUMBOOT FRIDAY

Vaimoana Vaai —

Why gumboots?

For people struggling with depression, it can feel like walking through mud every day.

So on Friday 3 April 2020, we're asking you to show your support. Put your gumboots on, give a gold coin, and take a walk in their shoes for just one day.

It's a fun way for kiwis to join in the mental health conversation, while raising money to provide free and timely counselling for any young person in need

GEIS Students:

1. Submit a 10sec video on our Google Classroom page (7xihzs6) of you in your gumboots. Wear your GEIS uniform or PE gear. Get your family in on the video too!

Due Date: Wednesday 1st April

(so we can edit a video together of our GEIS Students)

2. Say the phrase "Gumboot Up New Zealand"

This can also be done in any language

Parents - You can donate via:

  1. Internet banking (search Gumboot Friday Appeal as a payee)
