AIMS GAMES 2024!
Firstly I would like to congratulate all our tamariki who competed in the 2024 AIMs games!
The AIMs games is the best of the best in sport at N.Z. Intermediate Schools. To compete there you have to be the best. We had just over 100 students compete at the 2024 AIMs games. We had some outstanding results.
Elijah Parsons AIMs games Gymnastics and medal winner.
1st overall, 1st on high-bar, 2nd on floor, 3rd on parallel bars, 3rd on rings, 3rd on pommel (see photo below of Elijah with their medals).
2nd overall for Connor Mahoney in the 100m swimming backstroke- medal winner (see photo below).
Gold and silver to GEIS in the Year 8 boys Orienteering Sprint. Congratulations Cormac Gray and Aidan Barrett-Hamilton (see photo below)
Silver to our Boys Football team
Bronze to our Girls 7s Rugby Team
Bronze Medal (Sadie Reid) in Mountain biking
And many more outstanding results !
Finally a BIG thank you to all our teachers, coaches, parents and Whānau for all their mahi, time, energy and support to give our tamariki this wonderful opportunity to feel success in sport.
