My name is Nathan Dowding and I am the classroom teacher of Room 9. I am currently seeking community contributions of stories from the Pacific Island nations of Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Fiji, Niue, and Tokelau. 

The purpose is to build a bank of resources of such stories (both historic and contemporary) to create a more personal context for our Pacific Island students to use as part of their learning around reading and writing. A version in English is necessary for this to develop, alongside a copy in your own language if possible. So please share with us your stories, and then connect with your extended family, your church groups, and any other relevant contacts to help this initiative grow. 

Any stories shared via hard copy, online, or speaking with me in person are welcome.
