In Class Epro8

Jacob PriskNovember 5, 2023

This term our school’s EPro8 kits have been traveling around to classes.

Students have been competing in teams against each other trying to build a catapult which was designed by some of our EPro8 engineering students. So far, around 25 classes have done the competition with a few more classes to still experience the fun. The challenge goes on for 1 ½ hours with tasks on a challenge card needing to be completed, clean work-area points given, and winners celebrating with pride.

Feedback for the competition has been phenomenal as teachers and students have been enjoying these intense and fun challenges. The GEIS EPro8 challenge has been a huge success!

A note from Mr Towl: A huge part of the success of the competition has been the energy and enthusiasm from the students who have been helping to run the events. They have been showing leadership and sharing the engineering knowledge they have gained throughout the year to help their peers succeed.

A massive thanks goes to Aarush Sathwara, Shaurya Bartakke, Finn McGregor, Emily Zuo, Ryan Middleditch, Cooper John, Tom Wanden-Hannay, Rosie Klimetz, Amber Cornwall, Preesha Karmacharya, Ishaan Pysaka, Altezza Yiz, Bowie Rewi, Ezra Noakes, Yusra Zafar, Troy Luo, Hayley Tang, Sebastien Scott & Regan Morton-Jones. Well done, team, you’re a credit to GEIS.
