Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo nga uri whakatipu .Foster the pathway to knowledge of strength, independence and growth for future generations.
Term 4 is off to a lovely start with this much needed period of more settled weather. Students have returned ready for the term ahead, the playground is full of laughter and the classroom full of learning.
This term has a lens of future focused learning with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) as a central idea of inventions. We have mini-schools creating ‘dragons den’ type projects (like the TV show), Museums of Technology with each class being a ‘gallery’, community projects, and BP challenge designs. This term ākonga are learning the power of collaboration and good communication. We have groups of classes going out to MOTAT as well as MOTAT bringing a travelling exhibition to us.
We look forward to sharing the culmination of this learning with the community in week 8 when each mini-school has a time set in which they are inviting their parents in to see their children's learning progress. Communication about this will come out closer to the time.
