New Muriwai classrooms
At the beginning of this term, before our tamariki arrived, we held a blessing of our four new classrooms-Te Pūmotomoto o Kauri Rah.
This happened early morning with the sunrise which included include a kōrero karakia for the classrooms and a tramp (walk through, doing a karakia in each space) and small kai to break the tapu after.
A BIG ka pai, paki paki and thank you to BOT member Fender Maeva who led us through this special blessing of the classrooms.
As our Property projects around the school continue to provide safe, warm and dry learning environments for our tamariki, we now move onto our Karekare Tower block which will be re clad and re roofed with the goal of finishing it at the end of Term 2. Please see the architect's drawing below of what it will look like when it is completed.
