The Kids Sing is a choral festival for Primary and Intermediate schools with over 3500 students participating.

Our school choir made a strong impression at the Kids Sing competition held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Ponsonby on Wednesday, September 4th.

The choir performed three captivating songs: Pepeha by Six60, O Rushing Wind (a competition-given piece), and the South African folk song Shosholoza. Despite not officially entering the competition this year, their performances were so impressive that judges suggested they should have.

One of the most memorable moments was the emotional response from parents who were moved to tears during the choir's rendition of Pepeha. The judges were also highly impressed by the choir's acapella performance of Shosholoza, praising their energy and enthusiasm.

The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to sing in such a prestigious venue and felt they had given their best performances. They worked tirelessly to learn the songs and prepare for the competition, and their hard work paid off.

Teacher reflections on the choir's performance were filled with pride and encouragement. The teacher praised the students' resilience, excellence, and the unforgettable experience of sharing the stage with them.

While not entering the competition this year, the choir's impressive performance has set the stage for future success. With continued learning and improvement, they are poised to make an even greater impact in the years to come.
