Science Term 2 2024

Next term we have an exciting learning opportunity in the science lab. Students will be participating in tissue dissections as part of our unit on the human body.

Dissections are a valuable tool for students to gain a deeper understanding of how the human body functions. By carefully examining animal organs and tissues, students can see firsthand the amazing complexity of life and how different systems work together. This experience can solidify their understanding of what they learn in the classroom and truly bring the science of the human body to life.

The tissues used in these dissections will come from reputable sources and are sheep by-products of the meat production industry. We encourage students to participate, but we understand that some students may not be comfortable doing so and can observe if they wish.

We believe that this hands-on experience will be a valuable learning opportunity for your child.

Thank you for your support.
