In Spec this term we have delivered a wide and varied programme.
In Visual Art, we have explored a few different media and covered a range of topics. We have completed Collage Fish, Unusual Peacocks, Portraits on Acetate using Posca Paint pens, Paintings of important things in our lives, Cane and Tissue paper fish and Taniwha stencils on a painted background.
In Hard Materials the Year 7 students made creative table tennis bats to use with our outdoor tables. The Year 8 students learnt about catapults and produced a game that incorporated one.
In Design, students have been thinking like Leonardo Da Vinci. They have created machine prototypes and developed detailed blueprints.
This term in Drama we have learnt to improvise without judgement, listen actively, embrace limitless possibilities and boldly embrace failure.
In Food Tech we have been creating nutritious and affordable dishes using some of the top ten most wasted foods to help reduce food waste and cost.
In Enviro Tech, the Year 8s made bamboo utensils to see if they were fit for purpose. To do this, they made stewed apples from the garden and crumble on the fire.
