GEIS welcomes 20 Korean International students and staff.
Kia ora,
This term we have welcomed 20 short term International students from Korea who were with us for four weeks.
These students wanted to experience a Kiwi school and learn and immerse themselves in Māori and Kiwi culture. They also visited significant landmarks and exhibitions around Auckland and New Zealand. They really enjoyed having a homestay experience and an opportunity to live like a kiwi kid for a short time.
I would like to say a BIG thank you to all of our GEIS parents, whānau and community who have hosted these students through our homestay programme, as they have all had a great time!
The students and and teachers have loved their time at GEIS and we have given them an experience they will never forget!
I would also like to welcome our 2 long term international students who are with us for the full year this year.
A BIG welcome to:
Theo Kim from Korea in Room 19
Zena Ho from Hong Kong in Room 16
Ngā mihi nui
