Our Te Reo Māori programme
For the last few years GEIS has had Kaupapa on the Couch - our programme dedicated to supporting our ākonga (students) and kaiako (teachers) in learning every day Te Reo Māori.
This year Kaupapa on the Couch is run by Miss Iti and Mr Notman. Together they are an infamous team that writes the scripts, lesson plans, manages a team of students, and then records and edits each segment.
Kaupapa on the Couch is run 3 times a week on our morning Cactus show and incorporates Te Reo Māori activities for ākonga and kaiako to participate in as the segment is aired. Then classes can solidify their learning with workbooks to engage with during their lesson time.
We want to thank Miss Iti and Mr Notman for their expertise, passion, and knowledge to support our kura in improving our Te reo Māori skills.
