Upcoming events and activities at GEIS

This newsletter we introduce Jasmine Murray, Maia Lythe, Nabiha Eliyas and Saskia Van Beurden.

Students will need to wear their school hat every school lunchtime and when outside for long periods of time with their class.

Congratulations to the following students who have work entered in Auckland Intermediate Schools' Art Exhibition. Each school is allowed to submit 10 2D and 5 3D pieces.

Week 7 - Wednesday 27 November, 6.30pm, Auditorium

Wednesday 4 December, 7.00pm in the Auditorium, is the night of our annual Cushion Concert for family and friends featuring the Concert Band and students learning instruments at G.E.I.S.

Week 9, Monday 9 December, GEIS is holding a Dance Showcase for our community in Week 9.

Jaden Cloete (Room 4) was selected as part of a national U12 football team to represent the New Zealand Ricky Herbert Football Academy in the AFS Shepparton Cup held over Labour Weekend in Australia.

We are looking for kind, caring families who really want to embrace having a student from overseas living in their home.

We are looking for sewists to help create black out curtains for the 2019 Year 8 Formal and beyond.

The student leadership team will be selected before the end of the current school year to lead the Student Council for 2020.

Swimming lessons for Konini School

If you have a child who is currently in Year 7 and will not be returning to GEIS next year, we would appreciate you advising the school office as soon as possible to assist us in confirming our numbers for next year.

These were taken at the end of August. If your child was in a team photo, you should have received an order form already.

Extra opening hours in November

No. 30 Squadron, Air Cadets, the aviation branch of the New Zealand Cadet Forces, are a disciplined, uniformed organisation which provides leadership, personal development and life skills training to young people aged between 13 and 19 years old.
