Year 3-8 Athletics Sports 2021

The annual Gleniti School Athletic Sports are to be held on Tuesday 2nd November at Aorangi Stadium. (Postponement day Thursday 4th November).

Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions spectators will be unable to attend. The only parents allowed onsite will be those helping with the sports.

We ask that any parents coming to pick their child/children up after the event please wait outside the fence for their child/children to come to them.

We thank you all for your co-operation in these challenging times.

Children will need to make their own way to Aorangi Stadium to meet their teacher at 9.00am. Please be ready to pick up your child by 2.45pm from the stadium.

All students will need to bring their own lunch, drink bottle, sunhat, jersey and plenty of sunscreen to wear.

All pupils should wear:

• Plain black shorts
• School top or sports top
• Sports shoes
• Regulation school sunhat

House Leaders are to wear their House Tee shirts instead of their sports top.

MEDICATION:

Please note if your child requires any medication i.e. for diabetes, asthma, bee stings, hay fever etc you will need to send this along with them on the day.

Any postponements will be put on the local radio stations at 8.00am and put on the Gleniti School and Gleniti School Parents Facebook page.

The results from our School Sports will be used to select the pupils who will compete in the South Canterbury Primary School Athletics competition on Tuesday 30th November, (Postponement day Thursday 2rd December) if it goes ahead under current Covid restrictions.
