Gleniti School Newsletter 3rd March 2021

Steve Zonnevylle - March 3, 2021

It feels like it’s a bit like Back To The Future, or maybe Groundhog Day as we find ourselves back in Level 2. Although it’s very frustrating, it is a necessity that we all have to endure. Level 2 Restrictions are therefore in force at school including: • Water Fountains have been switched off – please send your children to school with water bottles. • Limiting the number of adults coming into the school – please if you must come into the school then make sure you sign in and use your Covid App • PMP and Parent Help is on hold until further notice – this may change as we have seen that other schools are now continuing to allow this to happen • School Wide Assembly – this week we’ll be back to transmitting our Assembly via my desk and on Facebook Live. Join us from 11:05am on Friday.

The good news is that this morning we were able to wave our best wishes to the students and adults of the Room 14 camp who left for their adventure at Aoraki Mt Cook. After trying twice last year to get our camps off the ground only to be stymied by COVID, it’s so good to see this go ahead.

Next week we have the Kids in Action Week for our Year 5’s, our Year 6’s are off to Raincliff for their camp from Tuesday, Room 13 are off to Aoraki Mt Cook for the first half of the week and Room 15 are off to Aoraki Mt Cook during the second half. It’s all on! And we’re doing it in Level 2. This is so good to see.

Thank you to those people who responded to our Active Transport Routes Map by filling in the quick questionnaire. It’s not too late to let us know what you think, or how you believe things could be improved. Follow this link .

Congratulations to our Principal Award recipients from last week. Great work team! Special mention to our two Gleniti Archer in Action people: Olivia and Lincoln.
