A formidable team of 18 runners represented Te Kura o Ōhinetahi | Governors Bay School a fortnight ago at the S W Zone Cross Country, which was held over the hill at Ngā Puna Wai in Halswell.

Conditions were challenging, with large puddles of water along the course and a bank that caught a few runners out, despite the spray paint and the marshal! Our crew really put on a performance, with the following students qualifying to attend the Canterbury championships on Wednesday 21 June:

• Aria (7th)
• Bronte (11th)
• Harper (10th)
• Tessa (9th)
• Sam (11th)
• Louis VK (2nd)
• Josh (12th)

And the following as reserves:

• Meg (13th)
• Emily (14th)
• Angus (14th)
