Year 7 The Tops excursion

Bridgette Fox —

Throughout the day students participated in three amazing activities – Giant Swing, High Ropes and Bubble Soccer.

Earlier this term in week 4, our Year 7 students continued the tradition of heading off to The Tops for their year 7 camp. With the ever-changing COVID climate, unfortunately our normal 3-day camp was not able to go ahead as planned. This did not stop us from attending The Tops Conference Centre for a 1-day action-packed excursion. The excursion was awesome opportunity for Year 7 to get to know their peers and some of their teachers.

Students arrived at school bright and early at 7.30am, hopped on the bus and headed to The Tops to begin our action-packed day. Throughout the day students participated in three amazing activities – Giant Swing, High Ropes and Bubble Soccer. These activities challenged the students in a variety of different ways, expanding their personal boundaries and strengthening their connection to their fellow Year 7 students. As always, many lifelong friendships were created at The Tops and all students had a fantastic day!

A massive thank you to all the staff that attended this excursion - Miss Vuke, Mr Horton, Mrs Ten Cate, Mr Rea and our youth worker Shafia for supporting all students on a very busy day.
