Year 7 Food Technology

In Year 7 Food Technology, students have been exploring the exciting world of renewable energies and solar cars. They have learned about the design, production, and evaluation of these innovative vehicles, gaining a deeper understanding of their potential impact on our future. Additionally, students have delved into the world of 3D printing, designing and creating their own signature 3D logos.

Year 8 Food Technology

Year 8 Food Technology students have embarked on a culinary adventure, investigating the processes of food and fibre production. They have gained valuable insights into sustainable food production practices and developed their culinary skills by preparing nutritious and delicious meals. Through hands-on experience and literacy strategies, students have honed their understanding of food selection, preparation, and safety.

Year 9 Food Technology

Year 9 Food Technology students have transformed into food product development experts. They have explored the reasons behind food product innovation and analysed the impact of past and present food product innovations on society. With creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, they have developed their own movie snack products, considering every stage from ideation to production and marketing. Additionally, students have investigated the relationship between food consumption patterns and health across different life stages.

Year 10 Food Technology

Year 10 Food Technology students have embarked on a culinary adventure, exploring the world of "Food for Special Occasions" and "Food Trends." They have perfected their cake-making skills, designing, producing, and evaluating celebration cakes that would impress even the most discerning palates. Additionally, students have created digital portfolios for their dream New Year's Eve celebration events, showcasing their creativity and culinary expertise. Finally, they have investigated current food trends and the factors that influence them, gaining insights into the ever-evolving world of food.


Year 9 Information Software and Technology

Year 9 Information Software and Technology students have immersed themselves in the digital world, mastering the art of creating, storing, and manipulating files. They have designed and produced a video project using Adobe Premiere Pro, showcasing their creativity and technical skills. Additionally, students have explored the intricacies of computer networks, focusing on network topology, technology, and hardware. Throughout their studies, they have integrated literacy tasks to enhance their understanding of digital concepts.

Year 9 Industrial Technology Engineering

Year 9 Industrial Technology Engineering students have delved into the fascinating realm of metals, including their properties and applications. They have designed and crafted a solid brass ring, mastering various metal shaping techniques. Through this exploration, students have gained an appreciation for the versatility and strength of metals in engineering applications.

Year 10 Industrial Technology Engineering

Year 10 Industrial Technology Engineering students have embarked on a journey through the history of transport systems, exploring their design and production over time. They have gained a comprehensive understanding of traditional materials used in solar/wind power, electric, and autonomous vehicles. With a focus on sustainability, students have developed solar/wind power prototypes using sustainable materials and calculated the speed and velocity of these vehicles to compare their performance. Through this hands-on experience, students have gained valuable insights into the future of transportation.
