Work Experience

Andrew Walsh —

An extremely successful week of work experience was completed by our Year 10 cohort between 13th and 17th November.

This week was entirely dedicated to work experience and allowed our students the opportunity for:

  • career exploration and clarity
  • skill development
  • greater networking
  • real-world application of knowledge
  • confidence and independence growth
  • resume building
  • clarification of career path
  • work ethic development
  • personal growth and maturity.

Congratulations must go to our Year 10 cohort for their attitude and commitment. Mr. Walsh, Mr. Mustapic and Mr. Derbridge thoroughly enjoyed visiting these workplaces and seeing the students thrive as they learnt many new important skills that will have lifelong benefits into the future. Staff were able to speak to employers and gather feedback that highlighted how wonderfully the students applied themselves. Some students may even gain employment or apprenticeships following their involvement in this program.
