Celebrating Unity and Adventure: Harmony Day and Our Excursion to Cataract Scout Camp.

A warm welcome to our students, parents and carers to the 2024 school year.

On the 7th of March this year, the Year 7 Cohort and I went on an astounding excursion to Cataract Scout Park located near Appin. We did several amazing, and in my opinion, rather terrifying things like High Ropes and Rock Climbing.

Students in the Support Unit have had an action-packed start to 2024 with a myriad of learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. This term the Support Unit newsletter report was written by Year 7 students in SR3 and Year 10 students in SR4.

We are committed to communicating with parents/carers the different events that occur at our school.

Our students hit the ground running in 2024!

Year 8 Technology Mandatory students went to an excursion to the Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of their unit of work on Engineered Systems and Bridges.

Food for Thought: Year 9 & 10 Food Tech Students Tackle Real-World Issues!

On Thursday 7th of March, 28 Year 9 Visual Arts, Photography and Music students went on an excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW. The students went to experience two amazing exhibitions focusing on the work of Wassily Kandinsky and sculptural work of French artist Louis Bourgeois.

As we head into the Term 1 school holidays, it remains important that your child attends school every single day

Term 1 has been a busy term for the English, HSIE and Languages department. Our students have been developing their skills to enable them to experiment with ideas and expression, to become active, independent, and lifelong learners.

Exciting Career Pathways for Year 10 students at GRC Hurstville Campus occurred this term, including Try a Trade Day (Automotive),TAFE YES Program (Electrical Trades) & 2024 Big Day In @ UTS.

The Mathematics faculty is dedicated to making the study of Mathematics a relevant and engaging experience for all students.

Students in Technology Mandatory, Timber and Engineering Studies transformed classroom learning into real-world creations, designing and producing projects like clickable maps, multipurpose tables, and even solid brass rings.

So we arrive at the end of Term 1 2024 and it has been a busy term with many challenges. Our students are to be congratulated for remaining diligent and focused while navigating the start of a new learning year.
