Years 7 and 8 Students Jump into Positivity at “Embrace Kids” Event
On Thursday of Week 3, our Years 7 and 8 students attended a special screening of Embrace Kids at BOUNCE, Homebush, promoting self-acceptance and resilience.
The Embrace Kids event offered our students a unique blend of inspiration and enjoyable physical activity.
Following the inspiring film screening, students were encouraged to reflect on the film’s messages about embracing individuality and building self-confidence.
Afterwards, they had the opportunity to enjoy the trampoline facilities at BOUNCE, where they bonded with peers and staff, took part in healthy physical activities, and shared some laughs.
To help spread the event’s positive messages of self-acceptance and resilience, students received showbags and were encouraged to share what they learned with their peers back at school.
This balance of thought-provoking content and lively movement made for a memorable day that resonated with all who attended.
This experience aligns with our commitment to the schools "Every Student Counts" and "Sense of Belonging" initiatives, supporting our students' personal growth and wellbeing. You can learn more about how we support student wellbeing here.
Our school would like to extend special thanks to Embrace for generously funding bus transport, ensuring all students could attend the event free of charge.
We also thank Mr Wilmshurst and Mr Laverence for supervising and engaging the students during the excursion.
