Support Unit

Natalia Amacha —

It’s been a jam-packed start to the year in the Support Unit, with a range of exciting excursions and activities already underway. With even more planned for the months ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy—and fun—year of learning and connection.

Our Year 7 students recently embarked on their Adventure Day, taking on activities such as archery, caving, and an extreme outdoor obstacle course. Not even the rain could dampen their spirits, as they embraced the challenges, pushed their limits, and had a fantastic time connecting with their peers and building new friendships.

The Support Unit students got to work on their water safety skills during the annual swimming carnival at Bexley Aquatic Centre. Thanks to Mrs Turner and Ms Amacha for being in the pool with the students and running exciting activities such as kickboard races, pool noodle races and relay activities.

Students from the Support Unit recently attended the ‘Come and Try’ Athletics Day at Sylvania Athletics Field. It was a fantastic day filled with opportunities to participate in various track and field events. Students developed new skills, had fun, and formed new friendships. The Support Unit is now looking forward to the whole school Athletics Carnival next term
