Year 10 Industrial Technology Timber students have recently showcased their woodworking skills by creating stunning wooden bowls.
Equipped with traditional wood lathes and a variety of tools, students delved into the art of wood turning. They learned techniques such as face plate turning mastering the craft of shaping wood into beautiful forms. Safety was paramount, with students utilizing appropriate protective equipment and dust extraction systems to ensure a safe working environment.
The final stage involved sanding and finishing the bowls, transforming rough timber into smooth, polished masterpieces. The students' dedication and creativity were evident in each unique bowl, showcasing their growing woodworking skills
