Year 8 Agriculture and Food Technology students are exploring sustainable farming practices and delicious baking techniques.
This term, our Year 8 Agriculture and Food Technology students have been diving into the world of sustainable farming. They have been learning about vertical gardening, the principles of organic farming, and the production of food and fiber in controlled environments. In the kitchen, students have been honing their baking skills, experimenting with different techniques and creating a variety of tasty treats, including kafta skewers, sticky date muffins, black bean brownies and vegetable fried rice. Their literacy focus has been on describing a meal that they have cooked, in relation to taste, texture and appearance.
