Kia ora koutou e te whānau,

We are into the third week of school already, and many winter sports have begun. It is great to see so many excited students taking the field or court. Thank you to our coaches ahead of the season for your commitment, and thank you to the parents, friends, and whānau for taking our tamariki to their games and for supporting them on the sidelines.

Attendance 🏫

Regular attendance at school is important to your child's success. There is a clear connection between going to school regularly and doing well in the classroom. Making sure students attend and engage in learning is a shared responsibility.

If your child is going to be absent for any reason, it is essential that you let us know as soon as possible. It is important that you (text us, phone us, or email us) to confirm your child's absence and provide us with a reason.

Researchers at the Education Review Office (ERO) are doing some research about school attendance. They want to hear your thoughts about what makes a difference. Please help by clicking on this survey link: Parent and Whānau survey

Ministry of Education Parent Portal 🌐

The Ministry of Education has developed an online resource designed to support parents and whānau as they play their part in supporting children's learning. You'll be able to access information about the New Zealand Curriculum, assessment practices, and ways in which you can complement the learning that's happening at school.
