Term 2, Week 9

Aaron Warrington —

Kia ora koutou e te whānau,

Last week, it was a relief to see the sun after all the rain the previous week. It was great seeing so many people at our Matariki evening and at the breakfast put on by Harraways, The Edgar Centre and the Otago Nuggets. We have our parent/teacher interviews tonight and Wednesday this week, before everyone gets a well-deserved break.

Ngā mihi nui

Play Is The Way

Next term Green Island School will be welcoming Marlene Campbell to help refresh our Play Is The Way programme. Part of the refresh is having a parents' evening, so save this date: Wednesday 30 July at 7pm.

In a world that's moving faster than ever, the most important skills we can nurture in our children aren't academic - they're emotional.

This engaging and practical 60-minute workshop is for parents who want to better understand how to support their child's emotional development and social well-being at home, school, and in life.
