The West Coast Trades Academy is excited to announce their new office location in the Byte Mawhera Digital Hub, located in the heart of the Greymouth CBD.

West Coast Trades Academy Manager, Tania Washer says the move comes as part of the strategic development of The West Coast Trades Academy. “Being in the Digital hub further connects the Trades Academy to the West Coast business community which is essential for the development of our programmes and for connecting students to employment opportunities as they graduate. The West Coast Trades Academy provides innovative, experiential trades based programmes to students at every West Coast School. Being centrally located in a hub that offers a modern space for meetings and training makes perfect sense. “

Greymouth High School was the home of the Trades Academy for the past 7 years, the school remains the lead provider of the Academy. Greymouth High School Principal Samantha Mortimer says “The West Coast Trades Academy has developed tremendously over the years. It is exciting to see this next stage of development within our business community. The new connections being made through the Māwhera Digital Hub adds value to all West Coast schools and their students”

The mission of the Māwhera Byte Digital Hub is to provide opportunities to expand and create business through innovation. The hub offers digital focused up-skilling to existing business and aims to nurture startups through a range of digital services including workshops, training, coaching, mentoring, and advisory services.

Byte is a coworking space, with two private offices, a meeting room and larger conference/training space all available for rent or hire, on an hourly, weekly or long-term basis.

The open plan area offers a quiet, modern, and comfortable space for hotdesking, with fast internet.
