After an initial wet start on Monday, the Supported Learning Department had an awesome sunny day out at Mrs Chapman's land near Barrytown visiting her garden, off grid tiny house and bus. The day was topped off with a BBQ lunch and toasted marshmallows after a short bush walk. We also stopped off at Runanga on the way to meet one of the students' cows and chickens and see their garden. A trip to the beach to select driftwood for making seats had to be put off due to the rain. Thanks to Mr Harvey for cooking the BBQ and Neil McMillan and Miriam Rees for holding the fort at school.
