West Coast Combined Schools Dominate

Awesome efforts from the West Coast Schools Combined team at the Jenny McDonald hockey tournament in Ashburton!

They made it through semifinals and are in the FINAL today - Friday 6 September at 3:00pm against a Timaru Girls / Roncalli (combined school team).

Well done girls!

Lead-Up to the Final!

What a fantastic beginning to the tournament for our combined West Coast schools team from Westland, Greymouth, and JPII High Schools!

In the first match against Logan Park High School, skills were showcased and resilience despite the challenging windy conditions, securing a dominant 6-0 victory.

Momentum continued in the second game against Riccarton High School, with an impressive performance with a 12-0 win.

The final match against Kaiapoi High School was a tough one, but the team held strong and came out on top with a 4-1 victory.

With such an incredible start, we’re now gearing up for the Semi-final against Mid Canterbury. The team is excited and ready to tackle this next challenge!
