U15 Boys Rugby Results
A large fresh faced group of boys vying for playing spots!
Game 1 - vs Buller High School
First hit out for the boys was a tough one with Buller running in multiple tries, however the boys never gave up putting some great points on the card as well. Learning curb with some things, but can be easily fixed through more training time together.
Game 2 - vs John Paul II
The second long awaited game after many games were cancelled saw the team come out strong against a talented JPII side, however the speedy players in the JPII team caused all sorts of issues for our side. JPII had multiple of their U15 side leave the game early to join the JPII 1st XV side so we shared players with them to created a still 15 aside team. Another loss for the boys, but again plenty to learn for the next game!
Thank you to Coach McGirr and Coach Belcher for all their work with the boys, which has been steamed from a successful elective giving the boys to train every week and growing together as a unit.
The U15 Team is off to the Rural Livestock South Island Secondary Schools Tournament in Nelson during tournament week and we are looking forward to seeing how the boys go!
Also on the schedule is the annual Nelson College Boarders Exchange on the 21st October for the boys to compete in the curtain raiser to the 10th Year of the Matt Gunter Memorial that the 1st XV team compete.
