This year, Conservation Week is from September 4th-12th, with the theme “Take a Moment for Nature”. The Department of Conservation is encouraging people to share how they celebrate this theme by hosting a photo competition. The competition is broken up into four categories based on the age of the applicant. All entries will earn the applicant an invite to our regional Conservation Week event, being held in Hokitika on September 10th. This event will showcase the competition winners, and also host speakers to celebrate all the amazing conservation work being done around the region.
