SPCA Greymouth are trying to build up a vital foster service for the West Coast.

Fostering is taking animals into your home for a temporary period and caring for them while they recover from an injury or illness, or give them a safe place to grow and learn while they are still too young to be adopted into a new home.

Research shows that animals recover from an injury or illness much faster in a home environment than in a shelter.

Although we need foster parents all year round, late spring to mid-autumn is our peak time known as “kitten season”
