The author Mary-anne Scott from Havelock North, recently visited Grey High and ran two writing sessions. The first session was about her books; her writing process and how she got into writing. And the second was how she decided on topics which engaged teenagers. Nine students attended. They particularly found useful her ten writing tips, being able to discuss and expand ideas on their own work, and enjoyed her relaxed, supportive attitude. This visit was made possible by Read NZ Te Pou Muramura, with support from Creative New Zealand.
