GHS Young Enterprise West Coast Regional Final Pitch results.

Susi Thompson, HoD Business & Enterprise. —

The evening was held at Monteith's on Monday 31st October.

Greymouth High School students 'Aroma Uru' received the West Coast Trades Academy Award for Best Community Focused Business (Prakriti Dhakai, Marty Rochford, Sophie Donaldson, Paris Jackson-Roberts). Also pitching on the night were Tierley Wilson and Kaley Christie from 'Hauora Care' packages.

The overall winner was 'BlessedArtz' (Bless Groome from Westland High School) who received the Tai Poutini Polytechnic West Coast Regional Winner trophy, the Development West Coast Award for Excellence in Innovation, and the Papa Taiao Award for Excellence in Regenerative Enterprise for her cards supporting LGBTQI+ pride. Bless designed the artwork for our Ahurea Kāri Māori language playing card YE company last year. She goes forward to the National Finals in Wellington on December 6th.

'Bounce Hire' from John Paul II High School may have won the most points for the region, and if so will be eligible for the Wild Card. The wildcard is open to the YES company from each region that had the most points (from the five YES Challenges throughout the year) heading into their Regional Final but did not become the Regional Winner (which is selected based on the final pitch).
