We are excited to welcome Samantha as Principal of Greymouth High School, starting in January 2021

"Kia ora koutou

It is my pleasure to join Greymouth High School and the Greymouth community as your principal. I am originally from Plymouth in the UK, and with my parents, I moved to New Zealand and attended Long Bay College on the North Shore of Auckland for my senior years. I was very passionate about basketball and this took me on a scholarship to the United States to complete my degree. I then returned to the UK where I finished a Master's degree and then became a teacher. In 2007 myself, my husband Paul and my two daughters Yolanda and Iona, moved back out to New Zealand after living in Manchester for 9 years. We came to Te Aroha and have been here now for 13 years where I am currently Deputy Principal. I have loved being part of, not only the College in Te Aroha, but also the community. I am looking forward to moving to Greymouth High in January and building on the great work Andy and his team, the Board and the rest of the staff have already done. I am also excited to become part of the Greymouth community.
