WHAT IS ART SOUP?

Art Soup is a youth-led arts and wellbeing space in central Māwhera Greymouth. We run lots of different workshops and activities, and we are also open after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so you can come in and work on your own projects or enjoy our youth-friendly space.

Our address is 179 Tainui Street - the white house next to the RSA.

On Tuesdays, Parrot is ready and waiting to work with you and your friends on any music project you like to try out and Yvette is in our sewing room to help you with any material-based project you have. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, we also have Open Studio, and our youth mentors will help you find materials to do any art you would like to do.

On Thursdays, Andy is leading a youth choir for ages 12 to 18 and they are currently writing their own song!

In the evening, Ranelle and Renee have a painting class for ages 15 to 18.

Rainbow Youth also runs from our space. The group meets every Wednesday night from 6pm to 7:30pm.
