Each week the teachers and students involved in Qwest will share some of the exciting learning happening in Qwest. This week we will start with the module Mythbusting!

In Mythbusting we are currently working on busting the myth of “can humans multi task?!” which we started by trying to draw a circle with our left hand and rectangle with the right, no easy task! We then repeated this experiment but this time individually, much easier! To help us eventually bust our own myth we are doing this one together as a class to learn how to structure our myth!

In Qwest, year 9’s are allowed to choose which option they want to be a part of and Mythbusting seems to be a popular choice! Last term we busted some very exciting myths:

• Can you taste the difference between marmite and vegemite?

• Can you tape someone to a wall?

• Does sugar make you hyperactive?

Very excited to see what this new group can come up with!
