Last Thursday I visited some of our students at St John where they took part in the Kia Ora Hauora Rangatahi Work Placement Programme. It was great to see the high engagement of our students.
The students also visited the Maternity ward and the Theatre at Te Nikau Hospital where they learned about what jobs are available, and what kind of training they would need to do.
They had the opportunity to learn more about nursing and Allied Health, including music therapy, Diversional Occupational therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Social work Physiotherapy and much more.
Thank you to the Kia Ora Hauora team, the Te Nikau Hospital team, St John and all the others that supported our ngā ākonga.
