World Vision Youth Conference

Clark Fountain —

Last week Jack Bolton and I attended the World Vision Youth Conference along with Westland High School head Students. This conference is a part of a global leadership event designed to spark a passion for justice in young Kiwis, and equip them with leadership tools to create change both locally and globally. This was my first time attending, but each year over one thousand young people across Aotearoa are empowered and mobilized to be strong social advocates in our school and community through the World Vision Youth Conference national tour. Throughout the day, we learned how to step into our leadership potential, and implement change in our school and community. We also looked at the systemic injustices facing today's society, as well as hear from inspiring speakers at the forefront of change in Aotearoa. This was an amazing opportunity and would recommend this to other students. I can't wait for the 40h Famine and to make a difference.

A big thank you goes out to Westland High School for giving Clark and Jack the opportunity to attend this event!
