Supported Learning Information Night

Elaine Bruce —

Tai Poutini Polytechnic is holding an open night to discuss the introduction of a new programme that supports students with learning difficulties transitioning from school to the workplace. The proposed new programme would focus on employment within the local hospitality industry and we’d like your feedback to help shape the detail.

Event Background

TPP has identified a gap in the West Coast education sector for students with learning difficulties who require support to start work. TPP would like to consider ways to help bridge the gap and provide a supported learning environment for students to gain practical skills and knowledge for entry-level employment in the hospitality sector.

We want to ensure that the programme we deliver meets the needs of the West Coast, our potential students and their families, so we’re asking for your feedback and insights as we plan the delivery details.

It would be very beneficial to gather all key stakeholders together to discuss proposed programme in the first instance and we hope you are able to attend. In addition, this will be a public event, open to anyone with an interest in the proposed new programme, so please feel free to pass on to anyone who you think would be interested in attending.

Please confirm your attendance for our planning and catering purposes, phone 769 9400.
