A small but energetic group of students and staff took the court last Friday for Korfball which is a combination of netball and basketball. Plus this is the only international sport which must be played MIXED, 4 males and 4 females on the court at one time.

Do you know that GHS often attends a Korfball Tournament in Christchurch - for 2020 this has sadly been cancelled. However, if you are interested in 2021 we would love to take a team again! Plus we are hoping to run a West Coast Secondary Schools event in the near future.

Miss Cooper, who is on maternity leave currently, is a former New Zealand Korfball player representing the country overseas plus been involved in coaching NZ teams. Ask her about her experiences with the game!
